Meet your yoga teacher

A practice that begins with listening.

Sithar Dema

Yoga instructor · mindful movement & awareness

Sithar Dema brings a calm, grounded approach to yoga and mindful movement. She completed the 300-hour Yoga Instructor’s Course at S-VYASA in Bengaluru in 2019, followed by 200 hours of Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow teacher training at Vinyasa Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh in 2022. Her studies also include Sorig Zhiney and Luejong training in Thimphu. From February 2024 to June 2025, she volunteered to teach yoga and mindfulness at the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health. Her approach invites an exploration of movement, awareness and balance, rather than performance.

The way we practise

Room to begin.
Room to be yourself.

You do not need an advanced practice. Tell us what is familiar, what you would like to explore, and anything you would prefer to avoid. The agreed sessions can respond to your experience and the day around them.

Yoga can be woven into a private Bhutan journey or become the thread of a travelling retreat. These sessions are not a teacher-training course or a medical programme.

01 / Before you begin

A conversation first.

Share your yoga experience, preferred pace and relevant movement limitations while planning. Your instructor can then discuss a suitable approach.

02 / Through the journey

Practice, without pressure.

Shorter sessions around transfers and walking days. Rest or sit out when you prefer; the retreat is not a timetable to complete.

03 / A considered setting

Quiet, with permission.

Practice spaces are agreed in advance. Outdoor sessions depend on weather and access, with indoor arrangements confirmed in your proposal.

Explore our nine-day Bhutan Yoga Retreat for a journey shaped around movement, cultural connection and time to pause.

Your private proposal confirms the instructor, planned sessions, practice spaces and equipment. If a named teacher is unavailable, Raven discusses the alternative with you rather than promising a particular person on every departure.
